Mitered Square

Just past 3 am and slightly more than a little frustrated after 2 attempts with creating the Mitered Square featured in a magazine I purchased... I'm almost ready to throw in the towel. I've come to the conclusion I do better at making small projects as opposed to anything that takes longer than a few days to complete. I was ecstatic when I'd read about how "EASY" & "ADDICTING" making these squares would be. I thought, GREAT! Just what I need!!!

However, despite how closely I've followed the instructions I'm still not happy with the end result so I figure I'll give it a rest for now and pick it back up perhaps when I'm feeling a little more advantageous. Not to mention - I really should be working on projects I've lined up for Christmas gifting.

Hoya Rubra - Little Treasure

When I adopted this little green plant from the nursery, I had no idea what I'd purchased... only that I was drawn to the hardiness of its leaves and their texture. After some online research, I learned it's name: Hoya Rubra - well known for its production of distinct chocolate smelling flowers. I was thrilled and couldn't WAIT to have my very own blossoms! Well - two years later they've finally bloomed!

Succulent

Sweet Hens and Chickens! I fell in love with the idea of having my very own strawberry planter covered in these sweet little succulents after a visit to KY!!! Much to my dismay however - they didn't quite flourish as I'd hoped. Oh well...
